Experienced leadership. Long-term ownership.
A privately held merchant led by experienced agricultural-trade professionals.
Experienced leadership. Long-term ownership.
Allez is led by people with direct experience in physical agricultural trade, ocean logistics, and trade finance. Private ownership keeps the firm's interests aligned with its counterparties over the long term.
Leadership at a merchant is not an administrative function. The people who set the firm's direction are the same people who take positions, approve credit and decide which trades we decline. Commercial judgement and financial control sit together rather than in tension.
Decisions sit close to the market.
Authority to commit the firm rests with people who understand the commodity, the counterparty and the route. Approval structures are short by design. A merchant that needs three days to answer a firm offer is not a merchant a counterparty will call twice.
Risk appetite is set at the top and applied consistently.
Position limits, credit exposure and the conditions under which we decline a trade are set by the principals. They are not negotiable at desk level, and they do not move because a particular trade is attractive.
Ownership and management are the same people.
There is no separation between those who carry the firm's risk and those who benefit from it. That alignment shapes how we hold positions, how we treat counterparties in a difficult year, and how long a horizon we are prepared to take.
